Heat pump system
20°C can be collected and is efficient. All components are integrated in the heat pump installation, therefore without danger of freezing.
ZEN® Renewables heat pump, durable and efficient. The heat pump consists out of four main components:
- Evaporator
- Compressor
- Condenser
- Expansion valve
Evaporator
Within the hermetically sealed process a cooling substance, like for example R404a or R134a, is active. The cooling substance has as characteristic that it will start to boil when energy is extracted from the cooling substance by the ambient energy. Because of the fact that the cooling substance starts to boil, it will transform itself from liquid-form to gas-form and since gas can be compressed it will be directed into the compressor.
Compressor
In the compressor the low-pressure gas will be compressed in order to achieve high-pressure. Since the gas is brought to a higher pressure the temperature of the gas will rise as a direct effect thereof.
Condenser
In the condenser the high-temperature gas hands over its energy to the medium which needs to be heated. This medium can be central heating-water or tap water. Since energy is being extracted from the cooling substance, the substance will condensate and once again become liquid.
Expansion valve
The expansion valve will lower the high pressure back to the original low pressure. After this the cooling substance goes back to the evaporator and the closed circuit process starts over. Low temperature heating; comfortable and cost effective.
